Introducing Friendly.
One private place for your whole working day.
Friendly is a privacy-first work platform for freelancers and gig workers — Microsoft Teams + WhatsApp + LinkedIn Jobs in one surface, with end-to-end encryption as a baseline rather than a bolt-on.
Why we built it
Independent workers stitch the working day together from a dozen tools — chat in one app, find work in another, invoice in a third — and their data leaks across all of them. Earnings is the first problem, and privacy shouldn't be the price of solving it.
We built Friendly because that mismatch is fixable. A bounty marketplace that respects you. Encrypted channels for the work. A wallet with escrow so payment isn't a chase. And a profile that's yours, not the marketplace's.
What's live today
- Find work — a bounty board matched to your skills, with escrow-protected payments and a 2-tap apply flow.
- Encrypted DMs & channels — end-to-end encrypted direct messages by default; channels and threads for ongoing work.
- Meetings — scheduling, calendar reminders, meeting-platform links (voice/video calls are in build).
- Professional profile — skills, experience, and verified ratings owned by you.
- Wallet & escrow — see balance, what's in escrow, and every cleared payment.
- Cross-platform — Web today; Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, Linux on the way.
We list features honestly on /features — if it shows In progress or Planned, it isn't shipped yet.
The privacy line
We never train AI on your content. We never sell your data. We can't hand over message contents we were never able to read. The whole picture is on /security.
What's next
Daily-wage and gig listings, bank payouts, calendar two-way sync, and branded invoice export this quarter; voice / video calls and warm intros next. See /roadmap for the structured view.
A short note for every notable release will land in /changelog. You can subscribe on the homepage — we send one email per release worth knowing about, and nothing else.
