1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Friendly (the "Service"), including the website at https://friendly.mobi, the mobile applications, and the desktop applications, you ("you", the "User") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Friendly is a privacy-first work platform for freelancers and gig workers, providing encrypted messaging and channels, meetings, a bounty and jobs marketplace, escrow-protected payments, and a professional profile. The Service is operated by Tanvrit Pvt. Ltd. ("Tanvrit"), with its registered office at 168 Plot No 945, Gayatri Mandir se Purab, New Ariya, Sasaram, Bihar 821115, India.

3. Account Responsibilities

You must be at least 18 years old to register.
Provide accurate identifying information and keep it up to date.
Keep your password, OTPs, and refresh tokens confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
One account per person. Operating multiple accounts to evade a block, suspension, or rate limit is a breach of these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful activity, harassment, impersonation, doxxing, hate speech, or content that exploits or endangers minors.
Post or share content that infringes another person's intellectual-property rights, privacy, or right of publicity.
Send unsolicited bulk messages, spam, phishing links, or promotional content to people who have not opted in.
Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without our written permission.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except to the extent permitted by Indian law.
Upload malware, attempt to defeat rate limits, or interfere with other users' accounts, conversations, or data.
Resell, sublicense, or expose the Service's APIs to third parties without a written commercial agreement.

We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend accounts that violate these rules. Repeat offences may lead to permanent termination.

5. Pricing & Payments

Friendly is free to use during beta. We may introduce paid tiers (Pro and Teams) for advanced features in the future, in which case we will give registered users at least 30 days' notice before any account becomes paid-only and you will always retain access to a free tier with the core experience.

Where you do choose to subscribe to a future paid plan, billing will run through our payment processors (Razorpay for Indian customers; Stripe for international customers). Taxes will be added on top of stated prices where applicable. Refunds, where granted, follow the refund policy published in the app.

6. Intellectual Property & Your Content

The Service, including its source code, design, logos, and the Tanvrit trade marks, is owned by Tanvrit and licensed (not sold) to you.

You retain ownership of the content you create in the Service (messages, posts, events, tasks, profile content, uploaded media). You grant Tanvrit a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate the Service for you and the people you choose to share it with. This licence ends when you delete the content (subject to standard backup-purge timelines documented in the Privacy Policy).

You are solely responsible for the content you upload, including ensuring you have the right to share it. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Tanvrit disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, nor that any user you meet through Friendly is who they claim to be. Exercise normal caution when interacting with people you meet online or in person through the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tanvrit's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid to us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) ₹1,000. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Tanvrit, its officers, directors, employees, and agents harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

10. Termination

You may terminate at any time by deleting your account through /account/delete. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, abuse of other users, or to comply with a legal order. On termination, personal data is purged or anonymised per the Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Patna, Bihar shall have exclusive jurisdiction. Before litigating, the parties shall attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith negotiation; failing that, by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seated in Patna, before a sole arbitrator appointed by mutual agreement.

12. Changes to these Terms

We will notify registered users by email at least 30 days before any material change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
